      Daily utensils of Han Dynasty can be divided into those made of gold, silver, cooper, iron, pottery, jade, bone, horn, lacquer etc. Those unearthed from Han Yangling Mausoleum were mostly made of pottery. The reasons were emperor Jingdi and his father Wandi advocated simple bury thus those buried in Yangling Mausoleum were mostly pottery things. According to the functions of the utensils, they can be divided into water and wine container and kitchen utensils. Water container includes Wen( for holding water ), basin, pot , Yu( for holding water ), Jian(holding water to serve as looking-glass), Pan(for washing) and Yi( an elliptical ewer for washing) etc. Cooking vessels include tripot, Fu(boiler), Mou(for cooking),Yan(steamer), An(tray), He(food holder), chopsticks etc. Wine containers include Hu(pot), Zhong(round pot), Fang(square pot), Zun(wine holder), Jue(goblet), Zhi(bottle), Bei(elliptic cup) etc.
