Chinese part introduced the archaeological fruits, protection and exhibition methods for historical remains, and recent problems of HYM. European experts provided some reasonable suggestions on environmental monitoring works, cultural relics’ reservation, and conservation methods for the emperor’s underground museum in HYM. Those involved in the explanation include Yan Xinzhi, Ma Tao, Zhao Xichen, Rong Bo, Li Ku.
European participants visited the Han Yangling Museum, Qin Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horses’ Museum, Family Lv’s Graveyard and Jingwei Laboratory Base under the Shaanxi Provincial Archaeological Institute, to get a glimpse of our archaeological conservation, restoration and exhibition techniques.
European participants also introduced the situations of Italy Pisa’s 31 ancient ships site, the excavation and protection techniques of Belgium Ename974 archaeological site, the European concept and views on cultural relic’s restoration, the implement of a few machinery methods, including 360°photographic system and demonstrated some projects on Brazil Church, Liang Dai Village site, Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum and so on. In the light of overall protection and utilization of the historical remains of HYM, we invited two experts Fabio·Iemmi and Ginmario Finadri to take the picture of the whole HYM from the top of Empress' mound and the roof of archaeology exhibition hall. These photographic documents were taken to Italy for specific production before handing over to HYM, and we had made it clear that the photographic documents shall not be used for other purposes.
During this cooperation, the European parts told us special attention should be paid towards the saturation steam pressure, the measurement of the air pressure and water percentage in the soil, the possible reasons of soluble salt among others during the environmental monitoring works in the underground museum. Some of the protection and exhibition concept introduced by European experts are comparatively advanced and can be used for reference.
