During the project colloquium, held in Pisa on 14 July 2009, both the European and the Chinese experts presented their general conclusions and formulated questions for further analysis. The major challenges come from the different historical developments in both Europe and China. The current guidelines for dealing with cultural heritage are created mainly against the background of the European cultural framework. Many skills can be exchanged in the domains of archaeological techniques and problems of conservation, but it is in the field of interpretation that a real Sino-European dialogue should be developed. The scientific results of this cooperation will be made available in the final publication of the Han-Pisa project. This publication will be both in English and Chinese. (1).
